Lampmann moves up to treasurer of regional power authority

NJ BUTLER — Butler representative Jim Lampmann was elected treasurer of the nine-member regional power authority. The New Jersey Public Power Authority, which coordinates energy procurement for nine municipalities including Butler, held its annual reorganization meeting on January 16, 2025, electing Jim Borowski of Lavallette as President and Joe Zanga of South River as Vice-President. The Authority approved its annual budget for the fiscal year beginning February 1, 2025, and heard from Executive Director Brian Vayda about capacity challenges in the competitive PJM energy market.
