NJ BUTLER — Butler Council elects new president and approves $358K spending. The Mayor and Council unanimously elected Councilman Verdonik as Council President and approved nearly $358,156 in bills and vouchers in a 4-0 vote. The Council also unanimously awarded six contracts for electric supplies to out-of-state vendors.

During public discussion, Borough Administrator Matthew Guilder outlined preliminary plans for a potential Main Street redevelopment, which would begin with a $50,000 study; property owners in attendance generally supported moving forward.
